Markos Tselekounis

Markos Tselekounis is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Science and Technology of the NOVA University of Lisbon (UNL). He holds a Ph.D. in “Telecommunications Economics and Regulation” (2013) and a Master degree in “Economics and Management of Telecommunications Networks” (2008) both from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He received his B.Sc. degree in Economics (2006) from the University of Piraeus.

His postdoctoral research is being financed by the Portuguese State Scholarships Foundation (Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia), whereas his doctoral research was co-financed by the European Union (European Social Fund) and Greek national funds through the Research Funding Program “Heracleitus II”. He had also been granted scholarships from the Greek State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens for performance excellence during his undergraduate and postgraduate studies, respectively.

His research interests focus on industrial organization, microeconomics, network economics and telecommunications policy. He has several publications in refereed international journals and conferences in the field of industrial organization and regulatory economics. He has been participating in numerous European and National projects in the area of network economics and regulation.
