Michalis P. Stamatogiannis

Michalis Stamatogiannis is a Senior Lecturer in Finance at the University of Liverpool Management School. Between 2012 and 2015 he was a Lecturer in Economics at the Department of Economics of the University of Bath at which he led the Econometrics Research Group. Prior to his employment in Bath (2009-2012) he held a position of Lecturer and Researcher at the Department of Economics, Econometrics and Finance at the University of Groningen (Netherlands).

Michalis holds a PhD in Econometrics from the University of Nottingham, an MSc in Economics from the University of York and a BSc in Economics from the University of Cyprus.

His research interests lie in the area of time series econometrics. He has worked in applications in finance and macroeconomics. His teaching experience ranges from econometric theory and statistics to financial econometrics and time series forecasting. Since 2015 he has been Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK).

His research has been published in top peer-reviewed journals such as the Review of Financial Studies and the Journal of Econometrics.
